Art Gibbon Park

After a major wind storm hit Nelson, Debri Resources Ltd was hired by the City of Nelson to help with the clean up of Art Gibbon Park and Nelsons Gyro Park. Some trees were bucked and limbed, limbs were then chipped and spread as mulch.. Hawes Holdings Ltd was hired to skid some of the fallen trees to the edge of the property where they were sold to a local mill. Efforts were made to wrap some trees with used culvert to avoid scarring the trees as the logs were skidded to the landing. Mid September saw the end of the skidding, logs were loaded and removed and paths were raked. The park will be open to the public during the final stages of the clean up work.

Gyro Park Cleanup

Trees were skidded down onto the street below and then loaded by the City Of Nelson.

A tree fell and impaled itself onto one of the steel fence post barriers of Gyro Park.
